2025 SPECIAL CATEGORY - LOG CABIN AND ALL ITS VARIATIONS
Have you started making your special entry for the 2025 Sydney Quilt Show? Don't delay, it's time to look for inspiration and get started on your own log cabin quilt.
A Log Cabin block is made of strips that build upon or wrap around a centre. The centre of the Log Cabin does not have to be a square and may be offset. Any technique or style is welcome. Traditional quilts or modern interpretations that use any technique or style are welcome.
Note that no side of the quilt is to be smaller than 120cm and no larger than 180cm. Quilts must be made of three layers.
The Log Cabin special category is open to individuals including, subject to the conditions of entry, entrant's quilt top quilted by another.
Juniors, groups and members who are two person collaborators are encouraged to submit a Log Cabin quilt in their usual category.
Individual entrants are eligible to enter Best Traditional or Best Contemporary Awards.
