This week at Fairholme ...

Pat is making this quilt in a monthly class with
Sue Ross.  It's all gorgeous, but we have watched with particular
interest as she has made fabulous fabric choices for
sashings, setting triangles and borders.
Peggy's latest quilt for one of her grandsons shows her
usual flair for applique and fun - including the border
of reflective tape!
Several people worked on this community quilt -
Elaine did the initial piecing, Lynette added the
machine applique to the centre, with help from Lyn.
Straight line quilting lets the pretty, cheerful fabrics
take centre stage.
This community quilt for a child started as a panel
that was rearranged and reconstructed - all of the
additional 'wheels' in the sashings were to be hand
quilted, until a slip of the scissors necessitated
a patch, and just one looked lonely ...
