Disappearing nine patches and disappearing four patches are well known and popular, and some of us have ventured into the double disappearing nine patch. Luckily, the blocks don't actually disappear, they just create an illusion by becoming something that looks much more complicated than it really is. And that can be quick, and very handy indeed.
