About a year ago, Nerida ran a workshop with us on categorising and using a mix of low volume fabrics in scrappy quilts, using Bonnie Hunter’s ‘Crooked Courthouse Steps’ to demonstrate. It was a great success, and generated a lot of ongoing interest, judging by the number of quilts we have made using the block since.

Nerida has a wide ranging stash of modern prints, including low volumes. |

Dawn made her pretty ‘many purples’ version as a gift for a friend. It was quilted by Laura. |

Julie and Jill both made a pile of blocks after the work -shop, that are being put together into two community quilts with some from each pile. The second one is now underway.
