Community quilt finishes

‘Bespoked’ is a versatile pattern by Annette Ferguson.
Hilary’s version is scrappy, with low volume prints used
for the octagonal block centres and another low
volume for the sashing.

The ‘spokes’ are strips of small pieces of a variety of prints.

Each block is different, but the whole is cohesive.
Four sashed blocks finish at 50” square.

A donation to the community stash included a collection
of Kaffe Fasset prints. Helen gathered mostly warm coloured
pieces of different sizes and made blocks of squares
of several sizes.

Lynette went to her extensive blue and white
stash for this appealing baby quilt.

Robin helped out with hand stitching the binding.

Another donation of a some red, blue and white star blocks
immediately caught Jenny’s eye. She added some from her own
stash, and a red with white spot border. It was quilted by Laura.

A pile of blocks left over from another quilt was the
start of Jill’s improv cross blocks. The blocks are 8”.

The striped print border was a just big enough
piece from the community stash.

Laura’s meander quilting works well with
the many different angled straight lines.
