Bushfire quilts

We all know the devastation that many Victorian families suffered in the bushfires of 6th March, and the distress that they are still experiencing as they deal with their losses, make plans to resettle, rebuild and re-make their communities.

Our "bank" of community quilts has been put to good use, being donated, along with other things quilt-related, to Victorian families who may draw a little comfort from them. We were delighted to be able to send some of them to Fairholme Quilter Dawn Cox's family members who lost their home in Marysville, and that they could be delivered by Dawn herself. Dawn has kindly shared these photos of the quilts and their new owners. They will be well used and loved, and we wish the family all the very best.
