Show and tell

This spring is a particularly busy time for Fairholme members, with six weddings of sons and daughters happening in the next few weeks, and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren expected, but quilts are still being made and planned ...

The pinwheel blocks made from early Denyse Schmidt prints was
in a donation made recently to the community stash. Helen found
complimnetary prints in her own stash for the borders

Are these the sweetest little sheep? Jan's first grandson who
is scheduled to arrive soon will love them - his quilt is ready
in good time!
Lyn’s epic ‘Winding Ways’ in classic blue and white is very large.
It is machine pieced, and Lyn managed it through her domestic
machine to quilt it using her Westalee curved rulers. All the fabric
is from her scrap baskets, and even the blue ones are nowhere
near empty yet! Breathtaking Lyn.

Sue B is making sashiko blocks, using variegated thread that
will pair up as counterpanes with pieced kimono blocks
- looking forward to seeing them all together.

Simply Moderne issue #14 (from Quilt Mania) is due to hit
local newsagents' shelves this week (subscribers should have
theirs already) - look out for Miriam's large modern 'Dresden
Plate' quilt project.
Congratulations on your international debut, Miriam!
