New quilts

Noelle hand and machine pieced this pretty quilt for her
granddaughter’s 11th birthday. There are two blocks, one of
them an ‘X’ rather than the sashing you might first ‘see’.
A wide variety of scraps and 1930s reproduction fabrics
gives it lightness and great appeal.

The backing fabric (last photo) is also a versatile beauty.
Sure to loved.

Four inch pieced and non-pieced  hexagons English paper pieced
by Jill.  The mix of fabrics included a lot of Liberty Tana lawn,
mostly from the Travel collection.

The outer border is Liberty’s ‘Copenhagen’ print, the large
unpieced hexagons are ‘Palazzo’.

Janet made  this quilt for an unwell friend,
using a pictorial batik print …

… and quilted it on her long-arm machine.
