 The latest ideas to emerge from Sydney’s trailblazing Textiles
discipline at the UNSW School of Art and Design. 
Over the past year, four of the university’s researchers have
collaborated with the Embroiderers’ Guild NSW to explore innovation
in textiles. A range of issues are investigated, from how to
minimise waste from discarded bed linen to reassessing
the value of labour used to create everyday textiles.
