Nine improv patchwork blocks make up Jill’s scrappy 60” x 60” quilt-as-you-go quilt. The blocks are machine pieced. |
The blocks are hand quilted with 12wt thread in multiple colours, in a square(ish) spiral on each block. |
The different backing fabrics for each block make a large nine patch on the reverse. |
Jenni recently did a textile embroidered art class with Sophie Standing, producing a gorgeous pelican with fabric and thread on a painted background. |
Jenni used mostly Liberty prints |
She thoroughly enjoyed the class, and will have the piece mounted for display on a wall. |
Janet’s latest quilt is based on a friend’s artwork, and is hanging in her brother’s office. |
Another recent finish from Janet is made from a Missouri Star Quilt Company kit, for her husband who likes turtles. |
