New finishes

Amanda shared one of her favourite quilts recently - this very
large Kim Bradley design incorporating hexagon, diamonds
and carefully chosen prints for the block centres.

You can see that Amanda is quite fond of gorgeous Tula Pink
and Anna Maria prints, and she is a dedicated fussy cutter.

The backing includes many left overs from the front.

The second of three quilts that Laura is generously
making for each of the daughters of a friend. The stars are all
the same, made at different sizes. Laura has quilted each star
individually, then applied an edge-to-edge pattern to the
cotton/linen background. She used a quilting technique that
tells the long-arm machine to not quilt over the star blocks.
There are lots of thread ends to bury at the end!

And this is the third quilt for Laura’s friend’s daughters.
The piecing gives a definite three dimensional effect.

The floral pieces are all Japanese prints.
