Community quilts

Helen thought it was more than time to make her first
disappearing nine patch quilt, and came up with selection
 of mostly pink fabrics from her stash, and a fabulous
tree print for the back. Quilted by Laura for our community
collection. There was a bit of a false start with a
directional train print, but Google has sorted that out.
Might we gently ease her into a disappearing four patch next?

‘Complete all the unfinished projects’ is Helen’s goal -
her tilted windmills have another pretty tree print on the back.

Val doesn’t really like 1930s prints, but found quite a
collection in her stash - they are now a snowball + nine
patch on point quilt.

Elaine G finds great, versatile patterns for community quilts
that she makes from her stash of vibrant fabrics.

Group activity: laying out wonky tree blocks made at a
recent sewing day, overseen by Nerida - one of very few
of us willing and able to stand on a chair!
