All of Miriam’s quilts are beautiful, but ’Flowers and Baskets’ is also a precious family heirloom, beginning with the gift of linen from her husband’s grandmother, who recently died at 105. The linen is the background to the hand-appliqued centre panel.

The baskets and flowers are hand appliqued, and Miriam hand quilted the finished piece. |
 |
There are a lot of different fabrics in the quilt! |

The reverse is an Ann Maria Horner wide back print. |
 |
The binding compliments both the front and back of the quilt. |
